Reference Number : 1602302 Review Title : Municipal road snow removal services Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-05-17 Submission sent electronically accepted: No The Municipality is requesting tenders for the provision of snow removal services for municipal roads on its territory. The call for tenders and the tender form on which the tender must be produced are available to interested companies from Friday, May 6, 2022, on the site "The electronic tendering system (SEAO)" for the required fees. All tenders must, to be valid, be accompanied by a tender guarantee issued in the name of the Municipality of the Township of Havelock, in the form of a certified cheque, a tender bond issued by a company accredited for this purpose in Canada or a guarantee bank account valid for a period of 90 days for an amount at least equal to twenty percent (20%) of the amount of the value of the first year of the contract (taxes included). The required guarantee must be accompanied by a letter of commitment from an insurance company authorized to do business in Canada, having an establishment in Quebec and acceptable to the Municipality of the Township of Havelock, to issue a bond of performance to the tenderer if he becomes the successful tenderer. The successful bidder must submit to the Municipality a performance guarantee equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the amount of the value of the year of the contract (taxes included), this guarantee must be valid for a period of one ( 1 year. The entry into force of the performance guarantee must be on October 1 of each year of the contract, it is the responsibility of the contractor to renew it, until the end of the contract. In the event that the successful bidder does not provide the guarantee, the Municipality may at any time replace this guarantee with any amount due to the successful bidder during the course of his contract. The bid must be made for a period of three (3) years, namely the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025 season, plus an option year 2025-2026. Tenders must be valid for a period of ninety (90) days). Only tenders submitted by tenderers who have ordered the tender documents in the same name as that under which they tender will be considered. The Municipality does not undertake to accept either the lowest or any of the tenders received, nor to incur any obligation or any cost of any kind towards the tenderer(s) and reserves the right to overrule a minor irregularity in the case of the lowest bid. Also, the Municipality reserves the right to refuse any tender in the event that the tenders are higher than the market rates.
