Renovation of an educational facility in East Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The East Haven Board of Education reserves the rights to amend or terminate this Request for Qualification, accept all or any part of a proposal, reject all proposals, waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies in a proposal, and award the proposal to the proposer(s) that, in the Board's judgment, will be in the Board's best interests. The scope of work and job requirements are listed below: -Remove and dispose of existing water damaged maple in gymnasium floor. Area to be replaced is approximately 700 sq. feet. -Remove and replace subfloor in affected area. Subfloor consists of 6 mil poly, 1/2" plywood, and 3/4" rubber pads. Supply materials. -Supply and install new first grade 2 1/4" wide X 3/4" thick maple flooring. Final appearance to be indistinguishable from rest of the floor. -Sand entire gymnasium floor, including beneath bleachers. Bleachers to be removed by school prior to sanding and replaced upon project completion. -Repaint all existing graphics and game lines. Apply two coats sealer, and two topcoats. Finish used shall be "BONA Supersport HD" -All materials and procedures shall be MFMA (Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association) approved. -Project must be completed over the summer, prior to the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
