Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.

The project scope of work consists generally of replacement of high intensity runway lighting (HIRL) on Runways 8R-26L and 17-35 with light-emitting diode (LED) HIRL including replacement of all cabling and other ancillary and incidental elements. For the same runways, all runway hold position and distance remaining signage is to be replaced including removal and construction of new foundations and other ancillary and incidental elements. Again, for the same runways, new LED runway guard light systems are to be installed including new base/foundations, conduit, cabling, constant current regulator, and other ancillary and incidental elements to complete the work. Lastly, as part of this project, replacement and upgrade of the Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring System (ALCMS) inside the Airfield Lighting Vault along with other ancillary and incidental elements to complete the work. Questions must be received in writing no later than five (5) calendar days prior to the bid opening date described herein. Responses to questions, including corresponding Bid Document clarifications and/or modifications will be distributed to all plan holders in writing via addenda. All addenda issued during the bidding process will become part of the Contract Documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority. Bids may be held by the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority for a period not to exceed 120 calendar days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. The right is reserved, as the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.
