Project Description: The work to be performed under this contract and in accordance with these contract documents consists of furnishing all necessary plant, labor, materials, and incidental related work; and constructing, installing, and performing all work shown and described in the contract documents. For Base Bid, the work includes installing a wildlife deterrent barrier along the interior of the installation's perimeter fence line, to be comprised of buried fence skirting of galvanized chainlink mesh attached to the bottom of the existing chain-link fence. The existing grade will be regraded at an angle from existing fence line out 5 feet to allow for installing the new chain link fence fabric. New 2-inch diamond mesh by 9-gauge galvanized steel Class 2 chain link fence fabric will be furnished and installed. The new chain link fence fabric will be unrolled and secured to the inside of the existing chain-link fence with a 4-inch lap using nine gauge galvanized hog rings installed 24-inches on center. The end joints between adjacent sections of the proposed fence fabric shall be lapped 4-inches and tied with galvanized wire ties at 2-feet on center and at edges. The chain link fence fabric will then be backfilled over with the existing soil that was stockpiled during the initial grading. The soil will then be compacted. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
