Renovation of an educational facility in Denton, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of January 12, 2023, construction is under way. An exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Any questions and/or request for information must be submitted in writing to the office of Director, Construction Services, no later than 5:00 p.m. (local time) on May 4th (Wednesday), 2022. Scope includes, but not limited to: Painting, Drywall, Fire Sprinkler, Demolition, HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical. The work, in general, consists of installing a new wet pipe fire sprinkler system and associated manual wet standpipe and vertical inline fire pump for the existing four-story TWU Library. An existing wet pipe fire sprinkler system is located within the basement that will be renovated and reutilized. An existing manual dry standpipe is installed, the horizontal runs are to be demolished and replaced. There will be one dry-pipe system installed in an unconditioned space in the basement and two double interlock pre-action systems will be installed in conjunction with two new clean agent fire suppression systems. One to be located in the basement and one an upper floor. The new fire pump room will be installed in the basement and include some demolition and related construction
