Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Norco, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
In general, the project consists of replacing the existing Grulla Sewage Lift Station with a new Grulla Sewage Lift Station (Station). In general, the lift station work will include constructing a new submersible lift station with wet well, submersible pumps, abovegrade discharge piping, air entrainment system, connection sewer and force main, motor control center (MCC), potable water service, security fencing, site improvements, and demolition of the existing packaged station and associated electrical panels (Bid Schedule I, Bid Items 101 through 119). The work will also include construction of the Grulla Storm Drain, which consists of approximately 310 LF of storm drain, 25 LF of sewer, and associated manholes, basins, and transition structures (Bid Schedule II, Bid Items 201 through 232). Award will be based on the total of both Bid Schedules (i.e. Bid Items 101 through 119 and 201 through 232). There are 180 working days allowed to complete this project from Notice to Proceed. Please note that Notice to Proceed will be granted in accordance with Special Provision 6-1 with the understanding that Notice to Proceed will coincide with mobilization. Notice to Proceed will not be granted until the procurement schedule for major equipment has been established to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. Also, due to long lead times in procuring MCC equipment and appurtenances the Contractor shall obtain these items prior to the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages may be assessed at $1,000.00 per working day. The City's request for bids and proposals, bid results, and notices of an award are obtained through the City of Norco Vendor Portal, www.norco.ca.us/bid All necessary forms, specifications and other bid documents may be viewed and downloaded electronically. Businesses who have registered in the Vendor Portal will receive email notices when a new request for bid or proposal relevant to their line of business is issued. Any interested party may view the City's solicitations, as well as the bid results and final notices of award, by logging into the Vendor Portal and using the search features to locate the items of interest. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity or informality in any bid to the extent permitted by law. The Contractor must possess a valid Contractor's License issued by the Contractors State Board at the time the bid is submitted. The class of license shall be applicable to the work specified in the contract. The successful bidder shall be licensed according with the provisions of the Business and Professional Code and shall possess a Class A license at the time this contract is awarded. The successful Contractor and his/her subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City of Norco.
