The Haddon Township Board of Education, hereby advertises for competitive bids in accor - dance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(a) (b) for Roof Top Unit Replacement and Related Work at Clyde S. Jennings Elementary School Bidder may obtain electronic copies of the Bidding Documents, free of charge via Becica Associates LLC, Architects' FTP site via an e-mail request with COMPLETE contact informa - tion to cpiccininni@becicaassociates.com. Bidding documents will be e-mailed to a prospec - tive bidder upon receipt of the request, which must reference the Bid Number and include the bidder's company name, company address, company telephone and facsimile numbers, the name of the bidder's contact, and associated email address. It is the responsibility of the bidder to print required forms included in the bid package. On the advertised date and time, the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary shall pub - licly receive and open all bids. No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement. (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(b)). The Board of Education does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of bids at this time. "Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq." Contractors bidding on this project are to comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to submit a bid for the project, at a minimum, the bidder and/or the bidder's sub-contractors shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in the follow - ing disciplines: C030 Plumbing, C032 HVACR, and C047 Electrical. A bidder on a public works project for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000.00 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27 through 33, and shall submit with his bid a Prequalification Affidavit-No Material Adverse Change, a copy of a valid and active Notice of Classification, a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form and such Affidavit that subsequent to the latest such statement submitted by him, there has been no material adverse change in his qualification information except as set forth in said Affidavit Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000.00. Statement of Ownership Requirement: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, Bidders shall submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms, may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. All contractors named in this proposal, shall possess a valid and current New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., at the time the proposal is received by the Board of Education. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 (c), 18A:18A-2(s), (t), (x), (y), 18A:18A-4(a-c), 18A:18A-22, and to waive minor or non-material informalities that may be in the best interests of the Board of Education. The works shall consist of the demolition and replacement of the existing 22.5 ton gas fired DX rooftop unit RTU-1 which serves the Multi-Purpose Room. Existing equipment curb will be adapted for reuse. The unit shall be controlled by the building automation system using the same sequence. All air devices associated with RTU-1 will be rebalanced to the quantities noted on the drawings. The new unit will reuse the existing electrical branch circuit and will be reconnected to the existing gas line serving the existing unit. Existing supply and return ductwork will be modified to connect to the replacement unit. All external supply and return air ductwork shall be re-insulated. 2. The Add Alternate work shall consist of the demolition and replacement of the existing 5 ton gas fired DX rooftop unit RTU-2 which serves the classroom B-101. Existing equipment curb will be adapted for reuse. The unit shall be controlled by the building automation system using the same sequence. All air devices associated with RTU-2 will be rebalanced to the quantities noted on the drawings. The new unit will reuse the existing electrical branch circuit and will be reconnected to the existing gas line serving the existing unit.
