Proposals for a service only that is $25,000.00 or greater must be accompanied by a bidder's bond or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total dollar amount of the proposal submitted, payable to the City of Myrtle Beach. No other forms of security will be accepted.The City of Myrtle Beach reserves the right to adjust the performance period to meet the best interests of the City. Any such adjustment will be made in writing through the Purchasing Office.Prior to the notice of award to any offeror, the City of Myrtle Beach may elect to open negotiations and ultimately reach an agreement with an Offeror who demonstrates the best combination of attributes to conduct the project, and who also negotiates a project cost with the City that is fair and reasonable. The negotiation period shall be no more than five (5) City business days. In these negotiations, the City may address scope of work, unit pricing, or any other contractual requirements fairly contained within the proposal documents. In the event that negotiations should commence but fail, the City shall reject any or all proposals. Questions concerning the proposal requirements or specifications should be directed in writing to the procurement buyer shown on the front page of this proposal package.
