Sealed proposals to contract with the County Board of Education of McDuffie County, Georgia (herein after referred to as "McDuffie County School System(TM) (or "Owner") to provide all materials, labor and obtain any necessary permits related to the installation of an irrigation system on the Thomson-McDuffie Middle School baseball/softball field based upon the provided designs. Construction on this field is planned for summer 2022. Contact person for this contract is Dr. Neal Tam, Administrative Services Director (706) 986-4033. Regardless of cause, late proposals will not be accepted and will automatically be disqualified from consideration. It shall be solely the vendor's risk to ensure delivery at the designated office by the designated time. Late bids and proposals will not be opened and may be returned to the vendor. Proposals must adhere to the design provided by the Owner. The design details the needs at the proposed field, outlined in an irrigation schedule and drawings. The Owner's preferred manufacturer is Rain Bird. Any alternate manufacturer would have to be pre- approved by the Owner. Proposal should include a proposed calendar for all services. Each sealed envelope containing a proposal must be plainly marked on the outside RFP #2022-4033-001 and the envelope must related activity. Bidder shall prohibit employees from using or displaying tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, while the employee is on duty at the assigned location. There shall be no use of any tobacco products on any property of the McDuffie County School System. Contract will be awarded based on lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting specifications and the overall general value received. Failure of the successful vendor to perform contracted service or deliver the merchandise within the required time shall constitute a material breach of contract. If breach occurs, the vendor may be responsible for any damages the school system incurs and may be removed from the McDuffie County School System's bid list. The McDuffie County School System is exempt for State sales taxes. Bid prices shall exclude Federal or State taxes that can be eliminated in sales to public school systems in the state of Georgia. All information received from vendors shall be subject to inspection once the bid is awarded under the Georgia Public Records Acct.
