As of June 2, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award not yet been established. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, or a certified or cashier's check made payable to the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Maywood in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Maywood for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids.The successful bidder for the construction of the improvement will be required to file a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, which performance bonds shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the plans and specification therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the contract; and also that the bidder and contractor shall properly pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the work, including those for labor and materials furnished.No bidding documents will be issued after 10:00 AM on Monday, the 23rd day of May, 2022.
Bidders shall adhere to certain Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) bid submittal requirements and observe the stated DBE goals as described within the contract documents. All bidders must provide proof that they are prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation to perform at least 50% of the value of the work before being issued bidding documents.
