Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Ridgeville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The project involves the extension of the campus on-site two-lane access road. The work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment control, soil stabilization, earthwork, grading, curb and gutter, paving, pavement markings, signage, and installation of a stormwater drainage system with curb inlets, concrete piping, and stormwater ponds with control structures. A three-span, 120-foot-long, pile supported bridge is required where the access road crosses Timothy Creek. A 12 watermain and an empty conduit ductbank for future street lighting will be required along the road. The work also includes the installation of a new pump station with a force main that connects to Dorchester County's sewer system. The contractor will also be required to construct a temporary haul road and a 2 temporary waterline. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the Total Base Bid. A one hundred percent (100%) labor and material bond and a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond of awarded work will be required. The South Carolina Ports Authority reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid if considered best for its interest.
