1884-DB-976680D For traffic signal poles for the Public Works Department. The City of Ames is solicitating bids for 3 new traffic signal poles for the intersection of 11th Street & Duff Avenue. The signal pole in the NW corner was replaced in 2018 due to significant corrosion, and now the other 3 poles need to be replaced. It is desired that the design of the new poles matches as closely as feasible to the design of the included pole drawing from the NW pole replacement in 2018, including the luminaire arm design, the mast arm mounting height, the pole finish, etc. The new signal poles will be placed on existing footings; therefore, anchor bolts will not be necessary. The City acknowledges that not all portions of the attached Traffic Signal Pole Specification can be met for installation on the existing footings. Below are the critical dimensions for all 3 signal poles: NE Corner: Mast Arm shall be 35', Bolt Circle shall be 16", Existing Anchor Bolts are 1.5" SW Corner: Mast Arm shall be 35', Bolt Circle shall be 16", Existing Anchor Bolts are 1.5" SE Corner: Mast Arm shall be 25', Bolt Circle shall be 13.5", Existing Anchor Bolts are 1.5" All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
