Background The District of Oak Bay has approximately 141 km of linear storm drain assets, consisting primarily of pipes, as well as some culverts and some open ditch segments. There are also two storm drain lift stations. Pipe sizes range from 100 mm to 900 mm, and years of installation range from 1910 to the present. TIMELINE: The District is seeking a qualified consultant to develop a Storm Drain Master Plan, which will fulfill the following objectives: - Build a hydrologic model to identify capacity issues in the District's storm drain network. - Identify condition issues in the District's storm drain network, including the two storm drain pumping stations. - Considering capacity and condition, develop a prioritized storm drain replacement program including capital cost estimates with 5 and 20-year capital plans. - Summarize the above in a Storm Drain Master Plan (SDMP) report outlining the work completed and recommendations. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
