Completed plans call for the addition of a 25,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for the remodel of a educational facility.

Hartington-Newcastle Public Schools will be receiving bid proposals from All Bidders for their existing school complex Remodel & Addition Project at 501 Broadway Ave, Hartington, Nebraska 68739. The project includes both existing building limited renovation, for the adding of new restrooms and custodian spaces to support the new addition spaces, as well as new addition building of approx. 25,000 sf, in the form of one story construction, with multiple flat roof systems. The building addition is comprised of a new interior gym with basketball and volleyball courts, extensible bleacher units, and a raised stage with related support spaces for theatrical plays and similar performances. To the west of the gym, there will be two preschool classrooms (with dedicated restrooms and related support storage cubby spaces), while to the east of the gym and stage areas, four new classrooms, will also be constructed, each with dedicated exits to the outdoors, and casework to house miscellaneous teacher and student supplies. The exterior will be standard brick in running bond pattern, and fluted CMU block to match the existing complex in color, look, and overall building details. The overall scope of work includes the construction of new interior concrete stairs, premanufactured metal stairs, metal handrails, doors, hardware, exterior and interior aluminum storefront systems, hollow metal windows/door framing, interior finishes, accessories, new exterior brick veneer to match existing exterior brick, new fluted cmu block to match existing, architectural precast bench tops and sills, existing roofing patching where it meets new addition construction, new roofs, insulation, sidewalks, site paving, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Systemscommunications, data, security, and fire alarm systems. The Owner and/or Architect may make such investigations as they deem necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to satisfactorily perform the work, and the Bidder shall furnish all such information and the data for this purpose upon request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
