Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Greenville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Greenville is accepting proposals for demolition of commercial property located at 102 and 104 W. South St., Greenville Illinois. Project involves two commercial buildings that are connected, approximately 6800 square foot total. Structures contains an unknown, presumed partial basement. Foundation and basement walls are of concrete and/or block construction. Will include removal approximately 30' of private and approximately 48' of city sidewalk. There will be no pre-bid interior inspections Proposed Project Description A. Complete demolition and removal of entirety of all structures, including basement(s), footings, 20 feet of private sidewalk on the north side of building and 48 feet of city sidewalk on the east side of building. B. City sidewalks on the north side of building, to be preserved or replaced. C. Disconnection and appropriate capping off of all utilities. D. Removal and disposal of all fencing, brush, and/or landscaping on property, grass/yard and mature trees excluded. E. Removal and disposal of any and all outbuildings/storage sheds on property. F. Backfill of all disturbed areas of site with suitable clean fill dirt with compacting and leveling for final grade. No construction material is allowed as fill. G. Complete removal and disposal of all debris. Debris must be disposed of in accordance with all State, Federal, and local laws. Project is contingent upon the approval and award by the Greenville City Council. The work shall be completed within 90 days from the date when the bid is approved. Contractor Requirements A. It is the responsibility of the contractor to become familiar with the nature and scope of the project and property detailed. B. Contractor must maintain adequate levels of insurance, including workers compensation coverage. C. Contractor must ensure qualified personnel are assigned to the project. D. Contractor must be capable of meeting time constraints and project bid price. E. All work shall be completed in accordance with all Federal, State, and local laws. F. Contractor must adhere to prevailing wage, if applicable Questions should be directed to Jeff Ketten at 618-606-1161 The City of Greenville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities in the bids. City may interview a firm if deemed necessary. Proposal will be pre-awarded by the Greenville City Council to the most qualified firm whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the City, all factors considered. Unsuccessful firms will be notified as soon as possible.
