Atlantic City Public Schools Request for Proposals Sealed proposals for the below professional services Architect of Record Pursuant to N.J.S.A.18A:18A-5, professional services are not required to be bid or advertised and the Board is not required to award on the basis of lowest price. The Atlantic City Board of Education does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of RFPs or bids. All respondents are to send their proposals through the US Postal Service or other recognized delivery service that provides certification of delivery to the sender. Proposals will not be accepted via facsimile transmission or email. The Atlantic City Board of Education will not assume responsibility for proposals forwarded through the mail or if lost in transit at any time before the RFP opening. During the performance of this contract, the contractors are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., PL 1975, C. 127 and N.J.A.C. 17:27, NJ Business Registration Act and Chapter 33, Laws of 1977. Pursuant to P.L. 2009, c.315 and N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registered with the State and provide proof of their Registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue before the contracting agency may enter into a contract with the business. No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set for opening. Right is reserved to waive minor irregularities and to reject proposals pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A. All respondents are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., PL 1975, Chapter 127, Affirmative Action Against Discrimination (N.J.A.C. 17:27 et. seq.) Corporate respondents are required by law (Chapter 33, Laws of 1977) to submit a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be filed with the proposal. The RFP package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the proposal. Failure to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the proposal.
