Q & A deadline: May 23, 2022 5:00:00 PM EDT The City of Miami Beach continues to prioritize and advance multi-modal in compliance with the adopted Transportation Master Plan. Painting and marking of non-vehicular surfaces (bicycle lanes, crosswalks, transit lanes, shared-use paths, and other facilities) enhances safety and increases the use of multi-modal facilities. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to establish a contract, by means of sealed bids, with a qualified firm(s), for the painting and striping of dedicated bicycle lanes and related services for the City of Miami Beach (the "City"), on an as-needed basis, in accordance with the prescribed specifications and requirements in Appendix A. The City desires to receive bids from qualified contractors to service painting and marking of non-vehicular surfaces as designated throughout the City. The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) defines a roadway pavement as "any hard-surfaced path upon which vehicles can travel from one place to another." Interested vendors must submit a proposal for Groups 1 and 2. Otherwise, a proposal for Group 1 will not be considered. On January 11, 2017, the City Commission approved the award of a contract pursuant to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2017-032-ND for Painting and Striping on Dedicated Bicycle Lanes (the "Contract") with a three (3) year original term and two (2) additional one (1) year terms. The Contract has exhausted all renewal options and this ITB intends to cover the services. The estimated yearly budget for these services is $500,000. The duration of the entire Contract (with renewals, if exercised by the City) will be an estimated total of $4,000,000.00. However, no volume of work is guaranteed as a result of any award.
