The City of Milan Building and Codes Department will be accepting sealed bids for the mowing (this includes removal of debris/trash less than a pickup load), trimming, and clean-up of properties during the growing season (April 1 - October 31) for the budget year 2022-2023. The successful bidder will receive funds paid out in arrears bi-weekly during said growing season at rates set by the City. The mowing and cleanup of assigned properties must be completed within seven days of notice from the City. Any lots over two acres are expressly excluded from this contract and will be bid out individually. All bids must also include the names of the persons authorized to work on behalf of the successful bidder and a listing of the equipment available for use in the mowing and clean up. All bids must include a certificate of liability insurance with minimum limits of not less than $300.000 for bodily injury or death of any one person in any one accident, occurrence, or act, and not less than $700,000 for bodily injury or death of all persons in any one accident, occurrence or act, and $100,000 for injury or destruction of property of others in any one accident, occurrence or act. The City of Milan reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The winning bidder must sign a written contract with the City in order for the bid to be accepted by the City.
