The City of Mobile ("City") will accept sealed bids for a waste reception facility Contractor ("Contractor") to receive all of the City's non-garbage wastes, collected and deposited at the facility by the City or City contractors, to include Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste, Yard Waste, and White Goods. The waste reception facility shall meet or exceed all present and currently anticipated applicable standards of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management and the State Department of Public Health. B. The award will be for a three-year period, renewable for two additional threeyear periods under existing terms and conditions with the consent of both City and Contractor.The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive formality in bids whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the City. However, it is the intent of the city that a contract award will be made following negotiation of the contract provisions to secure the best possible agreement for the citizens of the City of Mobile. The City hereby issues an Invitation to Bid for the purpose of selecting a Contractor to provide and operate a C&D facility or other proven technology to accept, recycle or dispose of C&D Waste, Yard Waste, and White Goods under the terms and conditions specified herein. It is the intention of the City to contract with the successful bidder to provide processing and disposal of the City's C&D Waste, Yard Waste, and White Goods for a minimum period of three years, renewable for two additional three-year terms under existing terms and conditions with the consent of City and Contractor. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive formality in bids whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the City. However, it is the intent of the city that a contract award will be made following negotiation of the contract provisions to secure the best possible agreement for the citizens of the City of Mobile.
