Furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the multi-prime contract for: Concession Building at Exton Park - Swedesford Recreation Area - Electrical Construction. Clarification Deadline: 5/13/2022 5:00 PM This project is for the construction of a 1,385 sq. ft. concession/restroom facility. The structure will include men's/women's restrooms, a concession area, and a storage area. The structure will be split face block exterior with standing seam metal roofing. A similar concession/restroom facility was recently constructed at Joe Catov Jr. Park in West Whiteland (71 West Boot Road, West Chester). Contractors are invited to review that facility as it is almost identical to the one being bid. Due to outdated state bidding requirements, this is a multi-prime contract. Three separate contracts will be awarded for construction services of the concession/restroom facility at the Exton Park - Swedesford Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Owner. All bids must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent. Said surety to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor ("Public Works Contractors' Bond Law of 1967," P.L. 869, 8 P.S. 191 et seq) & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as well as the Davis Bacon Act applies to this Contract and that the successful Bidders shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidders shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants for employment and employees or agents are treated without discrimination based upon race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, or disability. If the contract is awarded it will be to the lowest responsible bidders, however the Owner reserves the right to reject any and or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, except in accordance with the terms of PA Act 4 of 1974, latest revision.
