Work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, tax, equipment, incidentals and services for the construction and completion of the Center Road Sewer Project ("Project"). The Work includes but is not limited to Installation of 2,321 LF of 18" C-900 open cut sewer pipeline, with the installation of seven (7) 5' diameter manholes and connections of cross street sewers as shown on the plans. Installation of 182 LF of 10" pipeburst HDPE sewer, reconnection of all laterals, and all other additional work as needed to construct a complete and operational project as specified in these Contract Documents. Due to the complexity and scope of this critically important project, the District requires minimum prior related successful project experience for General Contractors and General Contractor's Project Manager. These requirements are found in Section 00480, Certification of Bidder's Experience and Qualifications. Each Bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a Bidder's Bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check, or cashier's check payable to the District, or cash for anThe successful Bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, in conformance with the requirements set forth in the Contract Documents, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price.Pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedures Section 995.311, the District will verify all bonds for this Project are issued and executed by a California admitted surety. The rate of prevailing wage for any craft, classification or type of workmanship to be employed in performing the Work is the rate established by the applicable collective bargaining contract which rate so provided is hereby adopted by reference and shall be effective for the life of this Agreement or until the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations determines that another rate is adopted. The undersigned Bidder accepts the liquidated damages specified in the Agreement in the event of failure to complete the Work within the specified times. The District reserves the right to award the Contract, to reject any or all Bids, to waive nonmaterial and inconsequential irregularities in any Bid, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, non-responsible, or conditional Bids.
