The project involves, but is not limited to: road milling and delivery / placement of Superpave Warm Mix Asphalt Wearing Course, 9.5 mm mix, 2-inch compacted depth for Quaker Lane (full width estimated at 5,593 square yards), including base repair. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Malvern Borough in the amount equal to Ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the proposal as Bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Materials Bond with an eighteen (18) month warranty within ten (10) days of the bid award, executed by a surety authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This work is anticipated to be below the thresholds as established by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act for use of prevailing minimum wage rates. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. Malvern Borough hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. Malvern Borough will pay for the material and anticipates purchasing it from 'Highway Materials' in Malvern through the Pennsylvania's COSTARS program. o Provide all necessary traffic controls for complete project. o Saw cut / mill pavementjoints (all locations including driveways if applicable). o Mill road full partial 2-inches - minimum depth. Mill additional depth, if necessary, to remove any roadway surface irregularities. o Malvern Borough shall adjust all manholes ifnecessary. o Install 18"xl 8" concrete catch basin or approved equal as shown on the plans. o Excavate, place and backfill 8" HDPE storm sewer at a depth of36" (max.), and a slope of 1.00% (min.). o Complete base repair as directed by the Borough representative. Base repair shall consist ofthe following: Remove existing asphalt, stone and / or soil in locations specified by the Borough representative up to an additional four (4) inches.
