Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway, sidewalk / parking lot and water / sewer project.
This project includes the reconstruction of the of the alley in the 1600 block between North 2nd Street and Pershing Blvd. In addition to reconstructing the surface of the alley, we will be completely removing and replacing the sanitary sewer in this block of alley. Removal of the alley will require removal of nearly 600 SY of HMA surface and removal of one sanitary manhole. The new alley will consist of four inch (4") HMA atop of a prepared sub-grade of the granular trench backfill. The new alley will be a twelve foot (12') typical cross section of four inch (4") HMA with a bit of special shaping of various widths along the east side. In all, this is approximately one hundred (100) TON of HMA. The sewer work will consist of connection to two (2) existing manholes, installation of two (2) sanitary manholes and connection of ten (10) laterals to the new sewer main. In order to connect to the existing manholes this will demand replacement of the roadway and driveway at the north and south ends, in total around one hundred twenty five (125) SY of seven inch (7") PCC Road on twelve inch (12") base and about one hundred (100) SY of seven inch (7") PCC Driveway, road work will also need fifty feet (50') of new curb.
