Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Description:Contractor shall furnish all material, labor, equipment, and supplies required to disassemble existing quonset hut building located at Chesapeake Elizabeth Treatment Plant, transport it to Onancock Plant, demo the dewatering building, and assemble the quonset hut all in accordance with the attached specifications, requirements, line item descriptions, terms and conditions. *NOTE: Do not respond through eVA. HRSD only accepts responses submitted online through HRSD's Online Oracle ERP system. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Scope of work: - Contractor will begin by dismantling existing Quonset hut at Chesapeake Elizabeth (CE) Treatment Plant. - Contractor will supply labor and equipment to dismantle the metal building. - The building panels will be labeled by contractor so it may be erected in same condition at a later date. - Contractor will remove all lights, electrical fixtures, wiring, and conduit, all associated electrical fixtures and wiring (lights/heaters, etc.) will be saved to reassemble at a later date. - Contractor will remove overhead doors and framework and place all material on pallets to be transported to Onancock (ON) Treatment Plant. - Contractor will cut off all anchors at the concrete (the main electrical will be disconnected by others). - All equipment that is stored in the building will be removed by others. - All work to be completed during regular business hours. CETP hours are M - F 6:00 am to 3:30 pm. ON hours MF 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. - Building will be placed on dunnage at Onancock treatment plant by contractor. Storage area of items must be coordinated with plant staff. - Once all parts for erection of Quonset hut are on-site at Onancock Treatment Plant, then the next phase can begin. - Dismantle existing Dewatering building. - Contractor will supply labor and equipment to demo the existing wooden structure and dispose of it in ownersupplied dumpster. - Owner will disconnect the electrical and other utilities. Contractor will leave electrical service panel and Belt press in operating condition. Electrical service panel must be supported and protected from elements. - All work to be completed during regular business hours. CETP hours are M - F 6:00 am to 3:30 pm. ON hours MF 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. - Contractor will need to supply concrete and labor to install appropriate rebar and pour a pad to accommodate the footprint of new Quonset Hut. (Foundation Plan on Page 2) - Contractor will install Quonset Hut on existing concrete pad at ON and will need to increase the size of the concrete pad to match the foundation plan provided. - Contractor will use chemical anchors to properly secure Quonset Hut to the existing pad in the designated areas as laid out in Foundation Plan. - Contractor will supply labor, equipment, and materials necessary to erect the building that was removed from CE in Virginia Beach. Fasteners in good condition can be reused, replace fasteners deemed unacceptable for reuse. - Panels will be installed correctly in the same places that they were removed from. - Install end walls and doors. - Install lighting and all associated electrical fixtures. - Main power will be connected by others. - Building will be anchored to the existing concrete pad. - All work will be completed during regular business hours, CETP hours are M-F 6:00 am to 3:30 pm. ON hours are M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and must be completed within two weeks (10 business days). Multiple Locations Are Available In This Project.
