Alumni Lawn Rehabilitation Deadline for Inquiries 5:00 PM, MST, 5/25/2022 Alumni Lawn Rehabilitation - Phase One is comprised of 2.7 acres of improvements at the Alumni
Lawn on University Drive defined by the driveway to Health Services on the east and Cady Mall
and Durham Hall to the west. The southern boundary of the initial phase will the turf edge at the
north side of the fountain. Site Background Information
a. The entire site is located within the historic heart of the Tempe Campus. The
master plan of the site reflects the programming of the user groups and has been
done and approved by MRO, it is approximately 8.2 acres in size. The plan will
address all aspects of Landscape Architecture (site development, hardscape,
plantings and irrigation) and must reflect the Design Aspirations of the University.
b. A primary goal of the phasing effort will be to have a completed design for Durham
Hall at the completion of the current renovation. The goal of the current renovation
project will be to have a completed project that will encompass the east side of
Durham Hall to the west facade of the University Club, from Tyler Mall to the ROW
of University.
Tenant Improvements will be phased and Phase One will include the following: o Preparing applicable construction documents that illustrate the removal of existing trees
and plant materials, removal and salvage of the existing pavers where feasible and existing
irrigation system. New improvements will include a campus monument signage including the University seal
parallel to University Drive, paving that meets the ASU guidelines for vehicular movement,
a restored sun dial, relocation of the Philomathian and Martin Puryear benches, relocation
and enhanced bases of the existing pedestrian pole lighting, bollards, bike racks, event
and convenience power outlets per the program, plantings, cost estimation and
