The City of Pittsburgh Office of Management & Budget, on behalf of the Department of Permits, License & Inspection, is currently soliciting a list of pre-qualified contractors to perform demolitions in accordance with the City of Pittsburgh's new Lead Safety Ordinance. The ordinance applies to demolition of pre-1978 structures where services commence on or after May 29th, 2022. Guarantees should be in the form of a surety bond, certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in an exact dollar amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. For example, a total bid of $100,000.00 should have a bid guarantee in the amount of $5,000.00. A performance bond in the full amount of the project is required from the winning vendor for this solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject all bids for a particular project when it is in the best interests of the City to do so.
