Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The approximate quantities of major items of work involved are as follows: Removal and replacement of 1400 syd of concrete pavement with minor stormwater management improvements. Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid. The OWNER reserves the right to accept any Bid, reject any Bid, or waive irregularities in Bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids. No pre-bid meetings are scheduled for this project. 1. SCOPE OF WORK This work shall be subject to the General Conditions and the General Specifications. The work shall include furnishing of labor,materials, tools, equipment, accessories and services necessary for completing the excavation and backfilling for the items as shown on the contract drawings and/or as herein required. This also includes trenching, trench or subgrade undercutting, roadway earthwork, complete and continual drainage of excavation, sheeting, bracing and shoring of sides of the excavation, backfilling around structures and over pipelines, and the disposal of excess excavated material.
