Renovation of a parking garage in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

The Hudson River Park Trust ("Trust") is pleased to invite you to submit a proposal in response to this Request for Proposals ("RFP") for the Pier 40 Loading Dock Roof project. The scope of work includes rehabilitation of a precast concrete plank roof covering an outdoor loading dock at Pier 40, including demolition of existing roof topping and waterproofing, selective demolition of concrete planks/slabs, partial and full plank repairs, repairs to structural members, installation of a new roof system, and associated work. The Work is located at Pier 40 in Hudson River Park at 353 West Street, New York, NY 10014. Documents will be available on May 12, 2022. Interested firms may request the RFP by sending a completed RFP Request Form, attached hereto, to the RFP email listed below. The Trust is an equal opportunity contracting agency. Any resulting contracts will include provisions mandating compliance with Executive Law Article 15A and the regulations promulgated there under. M/WBE Sub-Contracting Goal: 30% SDVOB Sub-Contracting Goal: 6 % Questions Due Date: June 03, 2022 - Submit to the RFP Email below by Due Date Question Response Date: June 10, 2022 - Responses will be emailed to Planholders The Primary Contact must be the person authorized by the firm to submit and address any questions about the proposal. If a firm needs to change the Primary Contact, they must do so within 24 hours prior to submission of a proposal. Demolition 1) Carefully remove and salvage existing netting at field perimeter for reinstallation at completion of project. 2) Contractorshall coordinate the locations of proposed work with all existing utilities to remain including, but not limited to electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and fire suppression. All utilitiesto remain shall be maintained active throughout the duration of the project. Contractorshall install temporary utility connectionsif existing cannot be maintained while performing contract work and replace permanent utilities once project scope is complete. 3) Remove existing roofing assembly including roof membrane, protection board, rigid insulation, waterproofing membrane, and gravel ballast 4) Remove existing roof expansion joint assemblies as shown 5) Remove existing blocking, gravel stop, and flashing at canopy edge 6) Remove existing guardrail and base plates 7) Remove existing concrete curb and steel faced concrete curb Utility Demolition 1) Remove existing light pole boxes 2) Remove existing storm drains and drain lines in their entirety as shown including all associated components 3) Install new sprinkler line hanger supports prior to removal of existing supports and demolition of roof assembly. Temporary pipe support and protection shall be coordinated and installed with structural repairs. Under no circumstances should sprinkler piping be unsupported, disturbed, or damaged. All damage to sprinkler system caused by contractor shall be repaired and contractor shall bear the costs of all sprinkler system testing, inspection, and permitting Perform all Structural Repairs including shoring, preparation, and new work 1) Crack repairs 2) Under slab and topside repairs 3) Full depth concrete repairs 4) Canopy edge repairs 5) Vertical concrete spall repairs 6) Pretensioned tendon repairs 7) Beam spall repairs 8) Cast-in-place partial and full channel slab pan replacements 9) Cast-in-place channel slab partial and full rib repairs 10) Full concrete channel slab replacements (cast-in place or precast at option of the contractor) 11) Concrete replacement at plank replacement locations 12) Precast girder repairs 13) Rebuild CMU wall
