Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Working plans call for the construction of a 4,600-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

**As of July 6, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet.** This is the second bid phase of a multiple bid phase project. The project consists of a new, one story, 4,600 sf emergency communications dispatch center, as well as a new 180 foot communication tower. The first bid phase included cast-in-place concrete foundation and walls, precast concrete roof panels, and plumbing for the dispatch center. This bid phase includes remaining packages to complete the work of the dispatch center, communication tower, and associated sitework. The project is being bid and constructed using multiple trade packages. The following packages are being bid at this time: Trade Package 03C2: Tower Foundation Trade Package 04: Masonry Trade Package 06FC: Finish Carpentry Trade Package 07I: Insulation Trade Package 07R: Roofing Trade Package 09A: Acoustical Ceilings Trade Package 09AF: Access Flooring Trade Package 09D: Framing & Drywall Trade Package 09GF: General Flooring Trade Package 09P: Painting Trade Package 23: HVAC Trade Package 26: Electrical Trade Package 31: Earthwork & Utilities Trade Package 32A: Asphalt Paving Trade Package 32C: Concrete Paving Trade Package 32F: Fencing Trade Package 32L: Landscaping Trade Package 35R: Tower Radio Equipment Trade Package 35TL: Self-Supported Communication Tower (Labor Only) Trade Package 35TM: Self-Supported Communication Tower (Material Only) The project is being bid and constructed using multiple trade packages. The following packages were previously bid and awarded: Trade Package 03C1: Cast-in-Place Concrete Trade Package 03P: Precast Concrete Roof Panels Trade Package 22: Plumbing The following package will be procured separately by the Owner: Trade Package 35F: Dispatch Furniture Bid Security: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate proposal, which check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notification from him to do so within ten (10) days of said notification. Should a successful bidder withdraw his bid, or fail to execute a satisfactory Contract, the Owner may then declare the bid deposit of bond or check forfeited as liquidated damages but not as a penalty. Performance and Payment Bonds: For contracts over $50,000, approved Performance and Payment Bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required of the Contractor at the time he executes his contract. The bond will be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve (12) months from the date of Substantial Completion. The Owner reserves the right to reject any proposal, or all proposals, or to accept any proposal or proposals, or to make such combination of proposals as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. Any proposal may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of proposals or authorized postponement thereof. Any proposal received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive any informality or errors in bidding for a period of 90 days after bid date. Bid Result.
