General Project Description: This project consists of furnishing all work necessary for the completion of milling and/or crack-and-seat and hot mix asphalt overlay, along with necessary incidentals, on various width streets in the Town of Normal, Illinois. The proposed improvement consists of the following approximate quantities: 2,370 SY Portland Cement Concrete Surface Removal, ; 17,730 SY Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Removal; 4,318 SY Crack and Seat Existing PCC Pavement; 14,215 pounds Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat); 6,950 feet Longitudinal Joint Sealant; 746 tons Polymerized HMA Binder Course, IL-4.75, N50; 512 tons HMA Binder Course, IL-9.5FG, N70; 1,498 tons HMA Surface Course, Mix C, N50; 558 tons Polymerized HMA Surface Course, SMA, 9.5, Mix E, N80; 170 SY Class B Patches; 150 SY Class D Patches; 750 feet Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Removal and Replacement, Special; adjustment or replacement of 54 water and sewer structures; 7,150 feet Short-term Pavement Markings - Paint; 1,800 feet Short- term Pavement Markings - Tape ; and all other necessary items and incidentals required to complete this project according to the plans and specifications. The bid award will be made by the Town Council, and the decision of the Council will be final.
