Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Northfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project will include the reconstruction of approximately 9,632 l.f. over various roadways within the City of Northfield. Roadway reconstruction will include milling existing surface, excavate unsuitable sub-base, installation of gravel/DGA sub-base where necessary, and install 2" thick bituminous stabilized base course, (HMA 19M64) and 2" thick final bituminous surface course (HMA 9.5M64), repairing existing drainage facilities, installing/repairing concrete curbs, aprons, sidewalks and ADA compliant ramps, adding/replacing traffic signs and installing traffic markings. The project may also includes other miscellaneous items as required to complete the project. Bid security in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount not to exceed $20,000 is required and should be made payable to The City of Northfield with a letter of surety. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of The Affirmative Action Regulations, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. The CITY reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any informality or irregularities in the bids received and accept same if deemed in the best interests of the citizens of the CITY. The CITY may hold bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids an investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Successful Bidder is required to pay the higher of the current State Prevailing Wage Rate to all workers employed on the project. Successful Bidder must furnish a one hundred (100%) percent Performance Bond and one hundred (100%) percent Payment Bond issued by a surety satisfactory to the Municipality.
