The McComb School District (MSD) is soliciting Requests for Qualifications through competitive bidding procedures from qualified entities to provide architectural design services. McComb School District is requesting and will be accepting qualified proposal submissions from vendors interested in offering Architect services for facilities damaged by storms in the spring of 2019 including Otken Elementary School, Denman Junior High School, Summit Elementary School, McComb High School, Rotary Field Baseball Complex, and C. C. Moore Stadium Any questions related to this RFQ should be directed to Courtney Bershell, Director of Finance at bershellc@mccomb.k12.ms.us. No submitting potential vendor shall contact any representative from the MSD for purposes related to this proposal with the exception of the superintendent, Dr. Cederick Ellis, ellisc@mccomb.k12.ms.us, on or after the date of publication of this RFQ. The packaged proposal shall be sealed and include one (1) original copy and five (5) hard copies and submitted to the MSD by the stated deadline. Any proposal received after the time and date set for receipt of proposals is late. No late proposal, late modification, or late withdrawal will be considered. The award of a contract for any proposal is contingent upon the favorable evaluation of the vendor's review and approval of the vendor by the MSD School Board. The contract awarded under this RFQ is contingent on the availability of funds to the MSD for this project. In the event funds are not available, any contract resulting from this RFQ will become void immediately. These services are funded through insurance proceeds and district funds. These services shall be provided to MSD prior to the end of fiscal year 2023. All relevant state purchasing laws and regulations are to be followed. Work is anticipated to begin on or soon after July 1, 2022 and tentatively completed by June 30, 2023.
a. Evaluate existing conditions, provide construction cost estimates for services for structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural additions/improvements.
b. Provide design drawings and specifications for solicitation of Construction Bids for the proposed additions/improvements.
c. Assist the MSD in the evaluation and selection of the best construction bid for the proposed additions/improvements.
d. Have a project manager available during all phases of the project to ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations. Following evaluation of the proposals, MSD may conduct additional interviews and may request additional information from one or more vendors. The contract will be awarded to the best and lowest responsible vendor. MSD reserves the right to waive any small informalities, to reject any and all proposals in part or in whole, and to evaluate the qualifications in the proposal that are most beneficial to the District. Issuance of this RFQ does not commit the MSD to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of an RFQ, or to procure related services or supplies The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. As of May 24, 2022, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner.
