**As of June 15, 2022, this project has been awarded to Wissehr Electric, Inc., in the amount of $288,873.96. The proposed work includes the construction of new signals at the intersection of IL Route 4 and Airport Boulevard. Work at the intersection also includes pavement markings, signs, lighting, closed circuit television dome camera, cellular modem and other miscellaneous items. The proposed improvement also includes the construction of fiber optic interconnect cable and conduit from a point 2,400' south of Airport Boulevard north to the 1-64 eastbound exit ramp The project begins on IL Route 4 approximately 2,400' south of Airport Blvd, and continues north to the intersection of IL Route 4 with the 1-64 exit ramp, for a total distance of 4,673.24 feet (0.885 miles) in St. Clair County. Such work is to be administered as an IDOT Access Permit, Permit No. 8-33386, and tied to all Access Permit requirements and required IDOT approvals concerning work on IDOT ROW.
