Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Branch, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The provisions of MINN. STAT. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are imposed as a requirement of this contract. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response/submission to the Advertisement for Bids of Chisago County shall comply with the provisions of the statute. No bid will be accepted unless submitted with a bidder's bond payable to the County for not less than five (5) per cent of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will, within fifteen (15) days after notification of award of contract, enter into an agreement with the County and furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for the full amount of the contract as provided by law. If the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to them, shall fail to enter into the contract, as let, the amount of such bidder's bond shall be forfeited to the County. The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the County. The proposed contract is subject to minimum wage rates as set forth by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and incorporated into the Specifications.
