Renovation of a mixed-use development in Thomasville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-142.A1, Thomasville City Schools (Referred hereafter as "TCS") is seeking proposals from qualified design-build teams to perform services for air quality and associated improvements. The intent of this RFQ is to select a design-build team by Qualifications-Based selection to provide design and construction services for various air quality and associated improvements to include, but not limited to, HVAC, chiller and boiler upgrades, windows, and other projects and improvements as deemed necessary. TCS facilities are experiencing air quality concerns due to aging infrastructure. The design-builder shall determine the best strategy to improve indoor air quality at each school within a fixed budget. Anticipated project budget: Estimated not to exceed $6,500,000. Funds are from ESSER II and ESSER III allocations. All questions should be directed via email to Eric Johannesen, Director of Facilities and Safety, by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022. No other staff or board members of TCS may be contacted by prospective respondents.
