Roofs/Exterior Masonry Performance Period: 540 Continuous Calendar Days (See Page CC-3 and Appendix B) Liquidated Damages: Two Thousand ($2,000) Dollars per Continuous Calendar Day and as set forth in the Construction Contract Page CC-3 and Appendix B SCA system-generated category: $0 to $250,000 (not to be interpreted as a "bid range") $250,001 to $500,000 $500,001 to $750,000 $750,001 to $1,000,000 $1,000,001 to $4,000,000 $4,000,001 and Above Pre-Bid Walkthrough None Scheduled at 2195 Andrews Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453. "Visual inspection from outside the building only, at the Contractors convenience. Please do not attempt to interact with the Principal/Custodian or enter the building in any way. Traditional RFIs will be accepted through the bid process and Addenda will be issued as needed in response to any questions received." INSURANCE See specific Contractor-furnished insurance requirements and SCA-furnished Insurance Coverage, Builder's Risk Coverage and Deductibles, the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). The OCIP Manual is available electronically. Please make sure that you are prequalified to perform work greater than One Million ($1,000,000) Dollars if your bid is in excess of $1,000,000 and that your firm have the applicable experience for this scope of work as of the bid opening date and time. BID BREAKDOWN:Upon request, the apparent low bidder for this project will be required to submit to the SCA its bid breakdown using a Project Specific Template, within seventy-two (72) hours of the bid opening or when requested. BID BOND - Bonds are being processed via Surety 2000 A Bid Bond prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a Certified Check of the Bidder for five (5%) percent of the Bid Amount must accompany the Lump Sum Bid Form. A "Wicks" subcontractor is defined as a subcontractor performing construction work in the HVAC, Plumbing & Gas Fitting or Electrical Trades and (except for HVAC) licensed to do business in the CITY OF NEW YORK in that trade. The SCA has determined that the work under this solicitation involves Plumbing & Gas Fitting Work. All proposed "Wicks" trade subcontractors must be prequalified by the SCA. However, said firm must not be "disqualified", "suspended", or "ineligible", at the time of Bid Opening. Therefore, the Bidder must include with its bid, and in accordance with the Information for Bidders Section, the names of all its proposed "Wicks" trade subcontractors and estimates for each of the trades listed in the previous sentence. The Bidder must complete and submit with its bid the "Wicks" Subcontractor Request Form. (Appendix G). Pursuant to the SCA's authorizing legislation, contracts will only be awarded to contractors prequalified by the SCA. If the Bidder is not prequalified at the time of the bid opening its bid will not be accepted. Please check all three (3) lists (disqualified, suspended, and otherwise ineligible) when conducting a search to obtain the complete prequalification status of a firm appearing on the SCA's electronically. Bidders can ensure their eligibility for contract award by verifying that they are currently prequalified. All questions by prospective bidders concerning this solicitation should be directed, in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the originally scheduled, or, if applicable, postponed bid opening date to E. As a condition of award under this Solicitation, the SCA will require the lowest responsive, and responsible bidder and its subcontractors of any tier performing Work on this project to become signatory to, and be bound by, the provisions of the Project labor Agreement (PLA) newly executed on the 25th of August, 2020. The PLA applies to the Work performed under this solicitation and bids must be prepared in compliance with the PLA. The PLA can be accessed electronically, click on Project Labor Agreement, and then see below for Project Labor Agreement covering Fiscal Years 2021 - 2025. The Bidder is required to execute a PLA Letter of Assent (in the form of Appendix L to the Construction Contract) pursuant to which it agrees to become signatory to, and abide by, the provisions of the PLA. This PLA Letter of Assent will be issued at the time of the Notice of Intent to Award letter. The Bidder must sign and return this document to the SCA along with the required Construction Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds. Failure to submit this PLA Letter of Assent will render the Bidder to be non-responsive and therefore, ineligible for award of a contract under this solicitation.
