**As of June 17, 2022, this project has been awarded to Wayco, Inc. and the awarded amount is $134,293.65** o 80 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Scratch/Leveling Course, placed 120 LB/SY o 738 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY o 75 Tons of Superpave 19mm Binder Course o 182 Tons of 2A Crushed Aggregate Subbase, placed as Shoulder Back-up o 547 Gallons of AE-Prime Coat to be applied on 2A All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 - Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT pre- qualified, must supply proof of prequalification Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Canaan Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All paving must be completed by August 1, 2022, Liquidated damages will apply for at the rate of $875 per day for each day beyond this date that the work remains incomplete. Contract contains an Escalator Clause for quantities of bituminous material of less than 100 tons of asphalt cement. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages Apply to this contract. The Canaan Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
