The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston (CHA) will receive Statements of Qualifications for a General Contract for Construction Repair Services. The purpose of this RFQ is to pre-qualify one or more contractors to perform repairs on an "as needed" basis, with the amount to be paid determined on the basis of agreed rates for labor and fees under a contract. The type of work that will be required will be maintenance related and may include a combination of some or all trades such as rough and/or finish carpentry, drywall installation and finishing, electrical work, plumbing work, ceramic tile installation and grouting, painting, VCT installation and HVAC repair work etc. Questions concerning this RFQ should be directed to Marymims Goldman, Capital Fund Manager at mmg@chacity.org Statements of Qualifications submitted will be evaluated by a CHA selected committee. Acceptance of this contract will obligate the contractor and subcontractors to comply with local, state and federal regulations for employment and business practices and comply with the current Davis Bacon Wage Rate Determination; Federal Labor Standards provisions, and The Section 3 Provisions of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. CHA reserves the right to wave irregularities, to reject any and all submissions; to accept multiple Statements of Qualifications, to re-advertise for this Statement of Qualifications and to retain all Statement of Qualifications packages submitted.
