Renovation of a water / sewer project in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This project is located in the community of Sackville in Halifax. The work includes the supply of all labour, materials, and equipment required for the installation and commissioning of two new Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) chambers. The new Pinehill PRV Chamber will be located within the Right of Way on Glendale Drive near the intersection with Pinehill Drive in Lower Sackville. The new Gallery Crescent PRV Chamber will be located within the Right of Way and a Halifax Water Easement at 28 Gallery Crescent in Middle Sackville. The work includes all excavation, removals, reinstatement, chlorination and dechlorination of mains, pressure testing, commissioning, and other activities associated with the pipe and PRV chamber installations. The work also includes the demolition and removal of the existing Pinehill Drive PRV chamber. The contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of all existing equipment within the existing chamber, including, but not limited to, piping, fittings, valves, electrical panels, and heating and ventilation equipment. Halifax Water reserves the right to keep any existing equipment. Prior to demolition, the Contractor must coordinate with Halifax Water to identify any components that Halifax Water would like to keep for other use. Work at the Pinehill PRV chamber also includes the removal and replacement of a culvert, complete with headwall, as shown on the drawings. Documents are available at https://procurement.novascotia.ca
