All prime contractors, subcontractors, small, minority or women owned enterprises and other interested parties are invited to participate. The rehabilitation work shall include, but will not be limited to roofing, siding, windows, doors, porches, furnace replacement, lead-based paint stabilization and abatement. The scope of work will vary per residential structure. Qualifications must be submitted on the prescribed forms included within the Request for Qualifications, which may be obtained from the City of Michigan City, Office of Planning and Redevelopment. The Request for Qualifications may be secured digitally by contacting zheine@amerecoeng. com. Each bidder must submit a written affirmative action program with said bid, which program shall include specific goals and timetables for the employment and training of minorities. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex or national origin. This project is funded through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and specific HUD requirements apply, including Section 3 Clauses.
