Renovation of a hospitality development in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a hospitality development.
Renovation of the former 52-Room Super 8 Motel located at: 7631 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga Park, California 91304. Each bidder must submit with its bid a bid guarantee equivalent to 10% of the bid price. The Contractor awarded the Contract will be required to post a Payment Bond to secure payment of all claims, demands, stop notices, mechanics liens, or charges of Material Suppliers, mechanics, or laborers employed by Contractor or by any subcontractor or any person, firm, or entity eligible to file a stop notice with respect to the Work. The payment bond amount will be 100% of the Contract award. Contractor is responsible for all related bond costs; Contractor will not be reimbursed for any bond costs. The bond shall be issued by an admitted surety insurer. Performance Bond The Contractor awarded the Contract will be required to post a Performance bond as a guarantee of the faithful performance of the requirements of this Contract in the amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract award. Contractor is responsible for all related bond costs; Contractor will not be reimbursed for any bond costs. The bond shall be issued by an admitted surety insurer. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code section 22300, the Contractor may request that TCHP substitute a security in the amount of the performance retention. TCHP will respond to written questions submitted on or before 11:00 a.m. (PST) on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. TCHP also reserves the right, in its discretion, to reject any or all bids and to re-bid the project. TCHP reserves the right to reject any or all non-conforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any bidder if TCHP believes that it would not be in the best interest of TCHP to make an award to that bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by TCHP. For purposes of this paragraph, an "unbalanced bid" is one having nominal prices for some work items and enhanced prices for other work items.
