The Project contemplated consists of swageline operations for the 48 Water Transmission Main from Tulane Stadium entrance across from Versailles Blvd. to Upperline Ave. and for the 30 Water Transmission Main from Jefferson Ave. to Upperline Ave. The swageline operation will include insertion & receiving pits to perform the swagelining, installation of new 48 & 30 butterfly valves & valve vaults, and a new 8 water main to provide service to houses from Soniat St. to Upperline Ave. Also, asphalt patching will be required at swageline pit locations & valve vault removal & installation locations; and mill & overlay of S. Claiborne will be required as shown on the pavement plans The Work will be completed in all respects within 480 calendar days from the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Bid Documents will be issued only to Contractors and/or Sub-contractors who are licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, under Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2150 through 37:2163 as amended, and who have furnished satisfactory evidence to the Purchasing Agent of the Board that they are licensed and are qualified to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. Bids will be accepted from only those Contractors who possess a (Louisiana Contractors License Municipal and Public Works Construction), in accordance with the above referenced Louisiana Statutes. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. Envelopes containing bids and bid guarantee must be sealed, marked with the project name and with the Contractors name as it appears on the license and the Louisiana Contractors License number. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or proposals for just cause and to waive informalities. The Board also reserves the right to reject all proposals in the event that a formal agreement regarding funding from FEMA is not received prior to award of this Contract. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and insurance prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, Bidder and Subcontractors shall hold all necessary licenses as required by the above referenced Louisiana Statutes.
