The Facilities Management Department for University of Kansas Medical centers provides oversight of the solid waste management and recycling services at all campus locations. a. 3901 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66160. b. 4350 Shawnee Mission Parkway (Clinical Research Center) c. 4330 Shawnee Mission Parkway (Fairway North Office Building) The contract is to cover disposal of solid waste, green-waste, and recycling services for the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC), Kansas City, Kansas which include trash collection, construction waste and debris, mixed recycling, and special waste material, e.g. animal bedding waste, and asbestos material collection. The Medical Center is also seeking optional quotes for the provision of maintenance and repair of units and to keep the units in good operational condition at all times. Solid Waste Management services include trash collection, construction waste and debris, mixed recycling, and special waster material e.g. animal bedding waste, cardboard, and asbestos material collection. The Contractor shall be required to enter into a written contract for trash, refuse and debris, recycling removal from KUMC. This will be a comprehensive contract to include the lease of dumpsters, dumpster maintenance, and disposal services to be provided by the contractor The University of Kansas Medical Center is requesting a three (3)-year contract with option to renew for two (2) additional one (1)-year periods, if mutually agreed upon by both parties and subject to annual appropriations by the governing body. KUMC seeks to procure bids for Refuse Collection Services to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the included specifications. KUMC reserves the right to negotiate with selected finalists should it be deemed necessary
