This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Edmonton, Alberta. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
AEP targets a 10,000 to 12,500 hour operating service interval, after which the pump and motor are to be removed, inspected and serviced to ensure they are operating close to their design efficiency levels. In the fall of 2022, Pump #4 & Motor #4 will have reached that mark and will be due for service. A new check valve will also be supplied and replaced as part of the contract The scope of this project is to remove Pump #4 and Motor #4 from the Deadfish Pumphouse during the late summer or early fall of 2022, transport them to a service facility, inspect to determine if a replacement pump or a service and rebuild of the pump and motor are required. The rebuilt pump and motor must then be reinstalled in their original location at the Deadfish Pumphouse before the end of March 2023. Pump and Motor #1 will be completed in the second year of this contract. 1. Disconnect electrical supply to Pump #4 2. Disconnect and remove Motor #4 3. Uninstall Pump #4 and remove from pump house (service provider to determine best method for removal of the pump) 4. Ship to servicing facility 5. Further dismantle and clean mechanical items 6. Dimensionally inspect pump fitment and mechanical tolerances 7. Visually inspect all parts 8. Provide written quotation to AEP detailing required work to repair/rebuild/replace including labour and replacement part costs. 9. After receiving approval from AEP, complete repairs as per quotation. 10. Package and ship pumps and motors back to Deadfish Pumphouse 11. Reinstall Pump, motors and electrical connections and new check valve. The service provider will be responsible for providing all of the required health and safety apparatus to complete the work described above, including but not limited to personal protective equipment, harnesses, hoists and air quality monitors. The service provider will be permitted to use the overhead crane in the Deadfish Pumphouse, in cooperation with the Deadfish Pumphouse Operator. As the scope of the repairs and parts replacement work will not be known until the components are inspected in detail, the service provider is asked to supply a labour rate and parts mark-up rate for this portion of the work with the quotation. In the event that during the servicing, the service provider determines additional parts require replacement and or repair, prior to commencement of replacement or repair the service provider must advise AEP, and AEP will approve in writing any additional replacement or repair of parts which must be charged in accordance with the labour and parts rates quoted.
