Site work for a water / sewer project in Northampton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Contracts 2022 Sewer & Drain Repairs Emergency Response, and known work SCOPE OF WORK All work in this contract is located in the City of Northampton. The work is intended to address several known issues and to provide on-call response in the event of a sewer or drain emergency repair that exceeds Department of Public Works equipment capabilities. This work may include, but not be limited to: removing and replacing Sewer or Drain manholes and catch basins splicing into the existing sewer or drainage main, chimney construction, lateral construction with cleanout at the property line, reestablishment of road base and surface and other features at various depths within the extents of work as required. The work will require protection of all underground utilities, trench shoring, steel plating to protect open excavations, dewatering and/or by-pass pumping of groundwater, storm water or wastewater if required, and may include repair or replacement of manholes or catch basins. The known issue locations are: • Remove and Replace one Drain Manhole, and one Catch Basin approx. 7 feet deep, behind 341 Acrebrook Drive. Tree removals required. • Remove and Replace Sewer Manhole, approximately 11 feet deep, on Hamden St(at Reed St) • Install 1 Drain Manhole on to existing 8”-12” VC drain system on Grove Avenue. Other locations and extents of work will be determined as the need arises.
