The construction work will consist of the following: Installation of approximately 24 LF of 36" pipe and 16 LF of 48" pipe and appurtenances; repair/replace of a storm junction and import of fill material for slope repair. Consideration will be given only to Bids of Contractors who are able to submit evidence showing that they are properly licensed under "An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting", ratified by the General Assembly of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and so subsequently amended Except as noted in the "Special Conditions" section of the Specifications, it is understood that this Contract may be increased in an amount equal to fifty percent of the total Contract as the Davidson County Board of Education may option. It is further understood that any increases made may be in the total amount and each Bid item need not be increased in the same amount. Each Contractor submitting a Proposal for this work, when requested, shall produce evidence of experience in constructing a project of similar size and nature. Contractors that are unable to produce this evidence may be rejected although they are low Bidders. The Davidson County Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
