Public Tender Notice - Tender Based Only on Price By this notice, the Center de services scolaire de Montreal (CSSDM) invites tenders for the following call for tenders: Project Title: Hourly rate masonry work Solicitation Number : 15-380P Description of the work: The purpose of this call for tenders is to retain the services of one (or more) general contractor specializing in masonry, who must hold a license as a "Contractor in buildings of all kinds" (under -category 1.3), "Contractor in masonry structures" (sub-category 4.1) and "Contractor in non-structural masonry, marble and ceramic work" (sub-category 4.2) of the Regie du batiment du Quebec who will carry out, upon request, various masonry work for CSSDM buildings, in accordance with the conditions of this call for tenders. (Refer to the list of civic addresses of buildings in Appendix XX.) Custom-made masonry work may require different trades such as: bricklayer-mason* laborer (masonry)* The tenderer must be able to provide, on request, the labor required according to the nature of the work to be carried out in each particular case, with the agreement of the CSSDM representative , according to the trades listed on the tender form. Among other things, he will have to have labor, employed by him, in the following trades: * bricklayer-mason * laborer (masonry) With regard to the project manager, a percentage corresponding to all related costs (bid visit, measurement), resulting from the coordination of personnel, subcontractors, materials and equipment on site by this latter, will be systematically added to all invoices, for all mandates. The contractor must be able to carry out all types of masonry work in asbestos and silica conditions (work without the presence of asbestos, work in the presence of low risk, moderate high risk, high risk and silica ), while respecting the technical requirements for this purpose in Appendix XI - Technical requirements in occupational hygiene. There will be no applicable rate differences based on different asbestos and silica conditions. The masonry work covered by this call for tenders could be executed in accelerated mode, based on plans and specifications or work procedures developed in parallel or simultaneously with the work. Brief and non-exhaustive list of examples: Securing walls (masonry, stone, plaster, ceramics, etc.) Replacement or maintenance of facade elements (insulation, sills, lintels, cornices, flashings, parapets, cladding acrylic or cement, etc.) Dismantling of facade(s) and reconstruction Repair of concrete elements (galleries, columns, etc.) Etc. In general, the tenderers selected in this call for tenders are complementary to other calls for tenders for work at an hourly rate and/or any other external professionals which the CSSDM intends to acquire or renew, in particular: general work at an hourly rate, interior refitting, electricity, ventilation, plumbing-heating, floor varnishing; the masonry work covered by this call for tenders is in the context of an unsafe or non-functional situation that must be remedied. The Client may delegate the role of "Representative of the Client" to an external professional firm. Mandate period: The contract will be valid for a period of one year from the date of award. The agreement will have two one-year renewal options. This option may be exercised at the request of the client and with the agreement of the successful bidder. For details concerning the completion period, you can contact the CSSDM representative. No details on the estimated value of the total or partial contract will be provided. T The tenderer must accompany his tender with a tender guarantee valid for a period of 45 days from the date and time fixed for the receipt of tenders, in the fixed amount of: 1) eighty thousand dollars ( $80,000) , if the guarantee is in the form of a bid bond issued in favor of the CSSDM, by a company legally authorized to stand surety and this bond must comply with the provisions of the bond model provided in the appendix V; 2) forty thousand dollars ($40,000) , if the guarantee is in one of the following forms: o a certified cheque; a mandate; a draft; an irrevocable letter of guarantee, in accordance with the provisions of the model letter of guarantee provided in the appendix, issued by a bank, a savings or credit union or by a trust or savings company; a bond issued or guaranteed by the Government of Quebec or by the Government of Canada or, where an intergovernmental agreement applies, by the government of the territory in question, with a maturity not exceeding five years. Payable to the Center de services scolaire de Montreal The CSSDM will receive before 2 p.m., on the opening date indicated, the tenders for the corresponding call for tenders. Each tender in paper form must be delivered sealed in an envelope identified with the return label included in the call for tenders or by any exact reproduction of its contents, as well as the name and address of the tenderer at the top corner. left. It is important to allow sufficient time for access and submission of bids. The CSSDM cannot be held responsible for delays related to access management in the context of a pandemic. Visitor parking is available for people wishing to submit a paper bid. Bid bond $40000 is required. Performance bond and materials and services of each corresponding $100000 is required.
