Bonding: The NPS anticipates bid, performance and payment bonds will be required Project Description: Project Conditions (see samples below, tailor/add/delete per project - work with PM/PS, note any logistical/cultural/historic considerations here): The project is located at Natural Bridges National Monument, San Juan, Utah The construction magnitude is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 Page 2 of 2 The surrounding area is very rural with limited staging located within the park boundaries (parking lot, boneyard area, pullouts, etc). Long delivery distance to park, specifically for asphalt and other road materials. The construction site is 120 miles from nearest suppliers and 40 from lodging facilities. The Park will remain open during construction, thus contract activities and logistics must be structured and scheduled to minimize visitor impact. The site requires protective measures to ensure the surrounding area remains undisturbed. The structure is a natural/cultural resource. The anticipated period of performance of 278 calendar days including any potential weather shutdown. There are seasonal/other shutdowns mandated through the construction season. Winter construction may be required.3 Project Scope: The work will consist of pavement management and rehabilitation of roads and parking areas within Natural Bridges National Monument. This work includes but is not limited to, pavement milling and removal, full depth replacement (FDR) of asphalt, full and partial depth repairs, asphalt construction, crack seal, fog seal, shoulder stabilization, curbing, pavement markings, guardrail, gate replacement, cattle guard replacement, MUTCD sign installation, concrete placement, and construction and repair of drainage features and structures.
