Renovation of a detention facility in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
**As of July 19, 2022, neither a short list nor a final selection has been determined. ** Walworth County is seeking to establish a prequalified contractor list to issue invitations for a response to the future solicitation, on a competitive basis, Security Electronic Systems Integrators. Services may consist of labor, parts, materials, adjustments, fabrication, and/or overhaul of minor and major components, labor of various classifications, types, makes, and models security electronics equipment used by the Walworth County Sheriffs Office. The Sheriffs Office/Jail has an inmate capacity of 512. The building is approximately 250,000 square feet. The security electronic systems is comprised of access control, video management, door control, intercom, and duress systems. There are approximately 50-60 access controlled doors, 135-140 cameras, and 400 remotely controlled security doors controlled through a programmable logic controller. The County is looking for qualified contractors to provide security systems upgrade and replacement with extensive Jail/Prison integration experience for the Walworth County Sheriffs Office. The intent is to establish a list of qualified contractors who will be invited to bid on the future Sheriffs Office Security Electronics Upgrade Project where only qualified contractors will be eligible to bid.
