Contract Consisting of Asbestos Abatement Prior to Re-carpeting. Abatement Will Include the Proper Removal and Disposal of Approximately 13,000 Square Feet of Asbestos-containing Black Floor Mastic and Associated Carpet (the Work) From Concrete Substrate (Concealed Under Carpet) as Indicted in the Asbestos Abatement Plan. The Work Shall Also Include the Removal and Disposal of Associated Non-asbestos Containing Vinyl Cove Base. Vps Has Surveyed Accessible Portions of the Building Included in the Work With the Objective of Identifying Asbestos-containing Materials. The Contractor Shall Refer to the Limited Pre-renovation Asbestos Survey Report and Associated Asbestos Abatement Plan, Which Lists Suspect Acms Sampled Within the Scope of Work. All Work Will Be Under a Single Contract. No Bid Will Be Considered Unless in Complete Accord With the Instructions to Bidders, and Submitted Upon the Official Proposal Form Included in the Contract Documents. This Project Is Considered a Public Works Project. Attention of Bidders Is Called to State of Washington Statues, Regulations and Rules Pertaining, but Not Limited to, the Following Public Works Projects: Non-discrimination in Employment and Facilities; Rates of Payment for Wages and Fringe Benefits to Workers; Forms of Bids; Bonds, Contracts and Certificates; Restrictions of Lien, Taxes and Retainage; and Barrier-free Facilities for the Handicapped. The Owner Reserves the Right to Wave Any Informalities and to Reject Any or All Bids. No Bidder May Withdraw or Modify His Bid After the Time Set for the Bid Opening Until After 45 Calendar Days From Bid Opening Date. There Will Be a Non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference May 25, 2022, at 3:00 Pm, at 1601 E Mcloughlin Blvd., Vancouver, Wa 98663, Per Section 00 21 13: Instructions to Bidders. Contract award is expected on July 12, 2022 and notice to proceed is expected to be provided on or around June 18, 2022, with on-site work to begin no earlier than June 18, 2022.
